19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult season, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court from March of that year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had caused some to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was over.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players traded breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four early-game break points in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
